The Town of Dover is in the process of updating the standards and codes within the city and will be presenting ordinance updates in the near future. In addition to the updates, a new program for assistance and enforcement will most likely be implemented as well. In preparation for these changes, the Town of Dover is making every effort to assist our residents in the clean up stages to assist with getting their homes and property cleaned up. On Saturday September 26, 2020 there will be two large dumpsters located at city hall (in the back) where residents of the Town of Dover may bring large items that they would have difficulty disposing of. This includes old appliances, furniture, etc. Residents will be required to provide proof that they reside within the Town of Dover. Additionally, many of the employees will be volunteering that day to assist our residents in need of special accommodations. Your Town of Dover employees are presenting a second opportunity during this time: Pizza and beverages will be set up for any and all residents who want to stop by city hall in support of the 2020 census. If you are a resident of the Town of Dover, stop by and get your census update information and have a free lunch. It is not necessary to utilize the dumpsters to get your lunch. The census in very important because much of our federal and state funding is based on the number of residents who fill out their census forms. Times are 08:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
